The good news is that you don't lose your original certificate. It remains valid for the earlier version, while the new version receives its own certificate and certification date. How can a lawyer or judge verify my certificate?

Every Certified Proof of Creation can be independently verified using third-party verification tools. Your Evidence Package includes a Verification Guide (PDF) with step-by-step instructions explaining how to independently verify: that your Evidence Package has not been altered; that the SHA-256 hash matches the certified Evidence Package; and that the eIDAS-compliant RFC 3161 certification is valid and was issued by the trusted Time Stamping Authority (TSA). This allows lawyers, courts, record labels, publishers and other third parties to independently verify the authenticity and integrity of your certification without relying on musiQproof.

Only you. Your uploaded music is securely stored and is never made public. No one can access your files unless you choose to share them.

What happens if I lose my certificate?

No problem. Your certificate is securely stored in your account and can be downloaded again at any time.

Do I need a subscription to keep my Certified Proof of Creation valid?

No. Once a Certified Proof of Creation has been issued, it remains permanently valid for the exact version of the file that was certified. If you cancel your subscription, your existing certificates remain valid. However, you will no longer be able to create new Certified Proofs of Creation unless you reactivate your account.

Can I download my certificate at any time?

Yes. Your Certified Proof of Creation and Evidence Package are securely stored in your account and can be downloaded again whenever you need them.

Can I upgrade my subscription later?

Absolutely. You can upgrade your subscription at any time as your music catalogue grows. Your existing Certified Proofs of Creation remain exactly the same.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept a range of secure payment methods through Stripe. The methods available depend on the type of purchase and your country. For one-time purchases (Starter plan and credit top-ups): credit and debit cards (including Apple Pay and Google Pay), Amazon Pay, Link, PayPal, iDEAL, and Klarna. For yearly subscriptions (Creator and Professional, billed annually): credit and debit cards (including Apple Pay and Google Pay), Amazon Pay, Link, and PayPal. For monthly subscriptions (Creator and Professional, billed monthly): credit and debit cards (including Apple Pay and Google Pay), Amazon Pay, and Link. PayPal, iDEAL and Klarna are not available for monthly subscriptions, as these methods do not support recurring payments. iDEAL and Klarna are also not available for yearly subscriptions for the same reason.

Where can I find my invoices?

After logging in, look at the top left of the page next to the musiQproof logo — you'll see the hamburger menu icon. Click it and select Invoices. There you'll find your complete billing history, including invoice number, date, plan, amount and payment status. Invoices appear here automatically once you make a purchase.

How do I change, upgrade or stop my subscription?

You can manage your plan at any time from your dashboard. To upgrade to a higher plan: log in and open the menu (top-left hamburger icon next to the musiQproof logo), select Subscription, under Change plan find the plan you want and click Upgrade, then confirm. Your new plan is active immediately. If upgrading from another subscription, you'll only be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of your current billing period. To downgrade: go to Subscription → Change plan, find the lower plan and click Schedule. The downgrade takes effect automatically at the end of your current billing period. To stop your subscription (turn off auto-renew): go to Subscription and click Turn off auto-renew. Your subscription stays active until the end of your current billing period. The Starter plan is pay-as-you-go, so there is no auto-renew to turn off. Unused Certified Proofs of Creation roll over as long as your subscription is active.
